'Kyiv' the Leominster Lion (2022)

Built by the Fetch Theatre, I was a puppeter on this performance not a creator

Built by the Fetch Theater for the Platinum Jubilee, I performed as the head of the lion for both the scripted performances, telling the story of St Edfrith taming a Lion and founding the town of Leominster and for interactive meet and greets with the public.

'Ziggy' (2021, 2022)

Street Theatre puppet 'Ziggy', a clan leader of the endangered species known only as 'the Strange', spotted emigrating along the Aberystwyth coastline. And again at Ludlow Eco carnival opening the 2022 Fringe festival

Built and performed by myself for my 3rd year Scenography and Theatre Design Advanced Studio Design module. Built mainly with modrock, papier mache, cardboard, foam, latex and hair extensions.

The orginal concept was inspired by David Bowie and Jim Henson

Polar Bear Warrior (2020)

A costume produced in conjunction with the study of the relationship between fabricated 'creatures' in theatre and its audience. Produced under the restraints of the Covid 19 pandemic without access to a studio space.

Using a range of materials including, a baseball cap, paper mache, nappa leather and a mix of fake fur and a reclamed bear pelt

Thorn Prosthetics (2020)

Latex prosthetics made out of silicon molds of my own sculpted forms.

Inspired by Profound Decisions, Empire System's, Briar lineage. Rose Thorns and vines growing out of torn flesh. The paint on the prosthetics uses an acrylic/Flexi Paint mix and then sealed with Flexi Paint No Tack sealer.

Tartuffe Reupholstered - Sofa (2020)

Produced alongside Aberystwyth University's Scenography Production Project, Covid 19 cancelled production of 'Tartuffe Reupholstered' directed by lecturer Roger Owen.

The sofa set piece was originally a reclaimed leather sofa which I 'tattoo'ed' over 500 hours of work with a fighting hyena and cobra to be the centre peice of the set.

A conceptual re-imagining in the restaging of Sophocles' Oedipus at Colonus, concentrating on set and costume. Staged as an operatic dance piece with fictional costuming inspired by a variety of North African and Eastern cultures.

Water Banquet (2019)

A collaborative performance, under lecturer Richard Downing, enacting to the historic site of the Joseph Parry Hall, Aberystwyth, where several courses for the senses were presented to represent the Past, Present, and Future, ending with a symbolic map of Aberystwyth made out of silverware.

Horn Prostectics (2018)

These horns were built out of foam matting for a long-term, high impact role. The design went through two iterations, the first pictured by Tom Garnett (2018) with both horns present. Then a second with a broken horn pictured by Steph Pardoe (2019)

Additional examples of Costume design

A variety of concepts and sketches from different projects conceptualising different possibilities for costumes and characters.
